Kreuzwertheim | Compared to last year, we were able to increase our overall rating by 6 points to 75 points, comfortably defending our silver medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. This puts Kurtz Ersa in the top 3% of companies in the same sector rated by EcoVadis in this year´s overall ESG rating!
This is the fourth time we have participated in the ESG rating, and we have made significant progress during this time. In the overall rating, we have increased from 48 to 75 points and from a bronze to a silver medal. The results in the four subject areas have since improved by 30 points (environment), 35 points (labor and human rights), 13 points (ethics), and 14 points (sustainable procurement).
Particularly noteworthy: “In the categories of environment and labor and human rights, Kurtz Ersa ranks in the top 1% of the companies assessed in our industry with a respective score of 90 and 85 points,” says Thomas Mühleck, CEO of Kurtz Ersa.
The basis for this continuous development lies in our comprehensive and internationally structured sustainability strategy, GoGreen250. For example,
- in 2024, we were already able to cover 33% of our electricity demand at our Kreuzwertheim and Wertheim sites with electricity generated by our four PV systems and our CHP plant.
- we were able to significantly reduce our CO2 emissions by switching to 100% green electricity and 100% biogas at our German sites and increasing energy efficiency.
- we continue to keep our occupational safety rate well below the industry average and steadily expand our compliance management system.
- we launch and continue projects that gradually increase transparency in our supply chain.
we also increase transparency in our own business area, including through our voluntary sustainability reporting, our comprehensive sustainability website, and our annual participation in recognized ESG and CDP ratings.
