Kurtz Ersa Group improves climate change rating

Kreuzwertheim | After achieving a “C” score in the CDP climate change rating in 2022 and 2023, we were able to improve to a “B-” score in 2024. We made great strides forward, particularly in the areas of emissions, energy, governance and risk disclosure.

In 2024, more than 24,800 companies voluntarily allowed themselves to be assessed by the international non-profit organization CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project. In 2024, Kurtz Ersa answered the “Water Security” questionnaire for the first time in addition to the “Climate Change” questionnaire and also achieved a score of “B-” at the first attempt.

The CDP is an international climate protection programme under which companies, institutions and organizations voluntarily provide information on the environmental impact of their activities. It is run by a non-profit organization that collects and evaluates data on harmful environmental impacts on an annual basis. After evaluating the data, each participating organization receives a rating:

  • B- for Climate
  • B- for Water Security

“Our continuous efforts in the area of sustainability and environmental protection are paying off. After being awarded silver in the ESG rating last year, we are delighted with the latest CDP result. The improvement in our CDP score shows that we are on the right track with our comprehensive sustainability program ‘GoGreen250’ and motivates us to continue setting high standards,” says Anna-Maria Hieble, Head of Quality and Sustainability Management at Kurtz Ersa.
