Tip´n´Turn technology and more performance for hand soldering
In an industry that is constantly striving for innovation, a successful relaunch or market launch is particularly important. The presentation of the new Ersa i-CON MK2 soldering stations was carefully prepared over a long period of time to inspire experts in industrial hand soldering and passionate hobbyists alike. At Productronica in Munich, Ersa presented its new soldering stations as reliable companions for precise soldering with innovative features - with visual and technical highlights.

Unmistakable features of the new Ersa soldering station series are outstanding performance and functionality, which start at 150 Watt and enable optimum performance for manual applications. All Ersa i-CON MK2 stations feature the newly developed Ersa soldering tip technology known from the IoT soldering station i-CON TRACE with extremely fast heating and reheating behavior and precise temperature control of +/- 2 °C.
The associated Ersa i-TOOL MK2 fine soldering iron offers up to 20% more soldering power and, at 30 g and a total length of 150 mm, is a lightweight that fits perfectly in the hand. Big plus: The i-TOOL MK2 has everything you need to significantly reduce operating costs and conserve resources. Thanks to the bayonet lock, the heating element remains intact during tool-free tip changes - only the tip is changed quickly and safely using the patented tip´n´turn concept. This can be done either manually or using the multifunctional storage stand (optional) - either way, the soldering tip can be changed quickly and easily without the user coming into contact with hot parts.
The i-TOOL MK2 is particularly impressive in continuous operation, as its handpiece remains pleasantly cool. It heats up so quickly that all solder joints can be produced at an almost identical temperature. The actual temperature is measured by a sensor at the very front of the soldering tip - if the temperature leaves the preselected process window of the soldering tip temperature, the MK2 station informs the operator.
If the soldering tool is not used for a while, the temperature drops to the preset, energy-saving standby temperature after a certain time. A wide range of performance-optimized standard and special soldering tips offers great flexibility even for complex or unconventional applications.
