Kreuzwertheim/Gurten, 20.04.2026 – As part of its transformation and to consistently focus on its growth strategy, Kurtz Ersa has sold its Foundry Machinery division to the Austrian Machine Manufacturer Fill as part of an asset deal. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Kurtz Ersa is a diversified machinery manufacturer with multiple business pillars that is successful worldwide: The company offers soldering systems, foam machines, 3D printers, and automation solutions, and employs approximately 1,750 people. Last year, Kurtz Ersa also tapped into a new strategic business segment through the acquisition of two business units in the semiconductor and micropackaging sectors. At the same time, Kurtz Ersa´s business is increasingly shifting from custom machine manufacturing toward standardization with global production. This strategy has recently yielded exceptional growth – with a focus on the electronics industry.

“We have decided to transfer our business with customized solutions to our long-standing market competitor and project partner Fill. With complete automated casting lines, including machining and surface finishing, Fill offers the perfect platform to further strengthen and expand Kurtz Foundry Machines in the interest of our long-standing customers,” says Thomas Mühleck, CEO of Kurtz Ersa.

Continuity for customers and employees was also a top priority: “With Fill, we are confident that our customers will continue to receive excellent support, which was a key concern for Kurtz Ersa. We can thus ensure that our technical and industry expertise in the areas of project planning, sales, and application engineering will be seamlessly transferred,” adds Andrea Carta, CEO of the Moulding Machines division at Kurtz. The purchase agreement was signed on April 20 during the Tech Days and the Austrian Foundry Conference at Fill´s headquarters in Gurten. The transaction is scheduled to close on July 1.
