Ersa Service Manager retires after 15 years

On March 31, Ersa Service Manager Lutz Böse officially retired during a “service training”. The native Berliner had come on board Ersa in 2008 and since then had confidently and safely navigated the Ersa service business through ups and downs and expanded it to a global level.

In the early days of Lutz-Böse, the service department consisted of eleven employees – today, the Ersa service team has 45 heads and contributes a double-digit million turnover to Ersa´s overall result. In the course of time, a real service team grew together, which gathered in its entirety on Friday afternoon to bid its service manager a fitting farewell into retirement. The event was moderated by Evelyn Wiegand, Head of Internal Service, and Wolfram Kuhn, Head of Technical Customer Service, who, together with Lutz Böse, have kept the Ersa Service team on course for success over the past 15 years. In addition to Ersa Managing Director Dr. Michael Fischer, General Sales Manager Rainer Krauss, the heads of development, design and production and the new Service Manager Andreas Westhäußer, also present were Kurtz Ersa Advisory Board member Rainer Kurtz, former CEO and Ersa Managing Director, and Lutz Böse´s wife Martina Schneider.

Peter Thomin, Service and Project Management Officer at VDMA, praised the service work of Ersa GmbH and presented two hot-off-the-press issues of the VDMA magazine with a cover story on “Future Services” at Ersa to the old and new Service Manager. Also present was Dr. Tobias Kuhn, head of communications at HADLER GmbH, based in Felsberg, Hessen, which has been manufacturing unique products for lighting electronics for more than 30 years. “Even if sales and service tick differently now and then – we quickly realized that we are only strong together. Even if, in our case, ‘Berliner Schnauze’ and ‘Spätzle-Schwabe’ clashed,” said Ersa General Sales Manager and self-confessed Swabian Rainer Krauss. And he adds: “And what came of it? A wind-and-weather-proof lighthouse with a firm foundation that ensures satisfied customers and through which we can jointly expand our company´s success. Dear Lutz Böse, all the best for your new phase in life!”
