1,295 runners registered – over 100 runners for Kurtz Ersa take part
Wertheim | 1,295 running enthusiasts registered for the 21st edition of the Wertheim Trade Fair Run on October 5, 2024 – a new record number of participants for Wertheim´s biggest sporting event! Not only Wertheim Stadt, but also the Kurtz Ersa running team was able to report a new company-internal record for the trade fair run with over 100 registered athletes.
The runners were once again spread over the “Mini”, “Bambini”, pupil run, 4.5 km run and 10 km main run. “The Wertheim trade fair run is always a sporting highlight – I´m particularly pleased that over a hundred runners in Kurtz Ersa shirts took part. This is a great statement of the Kurtz Ersa spirit, which we as a team have visibly brought to the course,” said Kurtz Ersa CEO Thomas Mühleck, who, as promised, took to the starting line in a bunny costume with over 100 registrations.
The weather remained stable until the start of the longer distances of 4.5 and 10 km, before a downpour hit all the runners. This in no way dampened the generally good mood and there were also some impressive running performances: in the 10 km race alone, 11 runners stayed under the magic 40 minutes, with the winner from Tauberbischofsheim (Philipp Karpeles) crossing the finish line after 32:55 minutes. Many thanks to the organizer SV Eintracht 1924 Nassig e.V. and the numerous helpers from the fire department, Red Cross and THW, who once again ensured that this fantastic running event ran smoothly!
