Kurtz Ersa Alpha 140 - plug'n produce with best price-performance ratio

The Alpha 140 combines innovative additive manufacturing technology with particularly simple operation at low system costs. This makes the Alpha 140 an ideal solution for the tool-free production of metal parts, particularly for small and medium-sized companies. Complex structures with maximum geometrical freedom can be produced quickly and cost-effectively. Thanks to the open system, the customer can set the process parameters in the slicer according to individual requirements. This means that a wide range of usable metal materials is available thanks to the free variation of process parameters.

Consulting, training and service

The close association between Laser Melting Innovations GmbH, the Aachen Center for Additive Manufacturing, RWTH Aachen University, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology and Kurtz Ersa ensures a broad-based consulting approach as well as training in all areas related to additive manufacturing. In addition, a worldwide 24-hour service is available. Feel free to request your individual live demo at one of the Kurtz Ersa application centers. We look forward to your call!

Compact design

The small size of the machine with a footprint of 1,675 x 1,028 mm saves space without sacrificing performance. The spindle-driven axis system enables high positioning and repeat accuracy of the laser system with an installation height of 140 and 200 mm.

Diverse materials

The materials that can be used for the Alpha 140 include stainless steels, tool steels and nickel-based alloys (e.g. IN625 and IN718). The components produced on the Alpha 140 achieve strengths that are comparable to conventional LPBF machines.

Optimal process conditions

A laminar shielding gas flow creates optimum process conditions for the inert welding process. At the same time, this protects the laser optics. An optional integrated nitrogen generator ensures self-sufficient and efficient operation without an additional external shielding gas supply.
