A multi-chip-module, short MCM, is a package in which multiples of individual microchips are placed, frequently in connection with passive components such as capacitors and resistors. Viewed from the outside, it cannot be recognized that that it is a MCM. They look exactly the same as an IC, function like an IC and are applied in the same way as an IC.
