The soldering profile is a temperature profile that has been adapted to the requirements of the respective soldering process. The requirements are determined by solder, components and process control. A soldering profile is often divided into different phases to optimally support the soldering process. Different soldering processes (wave soldering, reflow soldering, selective wave soldering, selective reflow soldering with rework systems) require different soldering profiles. A soldering profile can be applied to any number of (identical) assemblies. Due to tolerances, each soldering process performed on an assembly is unique.
