Ersa got off to a flying start at Productronica 2025: at the Productronica Innovation Award ceremony on the first day of the trade fair, the new VERSAFIT ONE was named the winner in the “SMT” cluster. The jury particularly praised the semi-automatic press-fit system for its combination of maximum process reliability, compact design, and an economical machine concept tailored to small and medium-sized businesses. The development of Productronica as a trade fair is also impressive - starting in 1975 with 90 participating companies, this year´s anniversary edition attracted 1,600 exhibitors from 58 countries!

The compact VERSAFIT ONE batch machine sets new standards in precision, process monitoring, and user-friendliness - ideal for manufacturers with a high product mix. The new machine concept is based on the proven press technology of the high-end VERSAFIT 500 inline system and a reduced footprint. The VERSAFIT ONE offers 100% force-displacement monitoring with up to 20 freely definable windows per component and real-time OK/NOK evaluation.

Thanks to a clearance height of 100 mm at the top and 120 mm at the bottom, the VERSAFIT ONE processes assemblies up to 610 × 610 mm. Based on the robust Ersa batch selective soldering platform, it creates heavy-duty electrical connections without thermal stress and without flux - with the lowest contact resistance for high-power applications such as photovoltaics, e-mobility, charging infrastructure, wind energy, and energy technology. Rainer Krauss, Head of Sales at Ersa, commented on the award at the trade fair: “We were delighted to receive the Productronica Innovation Award for the VERSAFIT ONE. The machine is our entry into semi-automatic press-fit technology and offers EMS and in-house manufacturers a precise, economical, and worker-independent solution.
