International rollout of the Integrated Management System Kurtz Ersa Group

For many years, machine manufacturer Kurtz Ersa has relied on an Integrated Management System (IMS) that controls all processes and structures uniformly and efficiently. Now it is time to roll out the IMS internationally …

What is an Integrated Management System?

An Integrated Management System (IMS) is a concept that combines several management systems into a uniform structure. At Kurtz Ersa, the IMS comprises the following four ISO standards:

  • ISO 9001 for quality management,
  • ISO 14001 for environmental management,
  • ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management, and
  • ISO 50001 for energy management.

By combining these systems, we can leverage synergies and optimize our processes.

What are the advantages of an IMS?

  • Standardization of structures and processes
  • Reduced susceptibility to errors
  • Exploitation of synergies
  • Improved transparency and documentation

What does the international rollout of the IMS look like?

“Most of our German locations have been certified according to the four ISO standards for many years. In 2024, we successfully integrated our first international location, Kurtz Ersa, Inc. in Plymouth (USA), into our integrated management system,” says Anna Hieble, Head of Corporate Quality Management at the Kurtz Ersa Group.

The goal is to gradually expand the IMS to other international Kurtz Ersa companies. The IMS integration of three locations in the Asia region is planned by summer 2026 (Kurtz Ersa Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong, Kurtz Zhuhai Manufacturing Ltd., and Kurtz Shanghai Ltd.), followed by Kurtz Ersa México Manufacturing in Juarez and our new company Kurtz Ersa Semicon GmbH in Vaterstetten by fall 2026.
