The term “transformation” is often used – almost inflationarily – as a buzzword. At Kurtz Ersa, we understand it to mean the consistent alignment of all activities with our customers, and therefore with their requirements and needs! This is the basis for our innovations, which not only go with the flow of highly dynamic markets, but also set the course. Kurtz Ersa has been driving these changes as a family business since 1779 – and the pace has increased dramatically.
In this issue of our customer magazine, you will find a wide range of insights on the topic of transformation with concrete examples from our business areas. In Asia, we are continuing to ramp up our product range with local value creation and expanding our production - in just a few months, we successfully started manufacturing wave soldering systems (POWERFLOW ULTRA) and selective soldering machines (VERSAFLOW ONE and VERSAFLOW 3/35) at our plant in Zhuhai.
We are also very active in the Americas at our locations in the USA and Mexico. Following A-LINE production, we are now adding N-LINE EPS moulding machines to better meet the requirements of the North and South American markets. For Europe, we have bundled our line automation for soldering lines under the Ersa umbrella, thereby linking it even more closely to our electronics manufacturing. At the same time, we have made a conscious decision to use a buy & build strategy to tap into a new market segment: the semiconductor industry. This has been on our strategic roadmap for some time. The first step was the acquisition of ATV´s technology, followed by the technology of Häcker Automation. The bottom line is that, together with you, we are achieving what hardly any other machine manufacturer is currently able to do: We are growing significantly!
On the product side, you will find plenty of evidence of the success of our strategy - in the form of user reports on our applications, innovations at the leading trade fairs Productronica in Munich, K in Düsseldorf, and Formnext in Frankfurt, as well as at specialist conferences around the globe.
All this is possible because our employees around the world are committed to achieving our goals - independently, yet always in line with the common Kurtz Ersa strategy. As a token of our appreciation, you can gain insights into our anniversary celebrations and joint events, and read about Bavaria´s strongest man, who comes from our ranks.
Nr.1 für nachhaltige Produktionslösungen
At this point, I would like to hand over to my esteemed colleague Dr. Michael Fischer from the Global Board. He will provide a deeper insight into the strategy of our newest group member, Kurtz Ersa Semicon GmbH: “The high level of technological expertise of the employees at Kurtz Ersa Semicon GmbH, formerly ATV Technologie GmbH, fits perfectly with our claim to be the No.1 in our markets for sustainable production solutions. With ATV technology, we have gained the perfect nucleus for our entry into the semiconductor world. The high level of technological expertise of the Vaterstetten-based company gives us the opportunity to generate significant growth with our global Kurtz Ersa network.
I see potential synergies in our existing automation expertise for upstream and downstream processes in semiconductor manufacturing. I am looking forward to the next steps with Semicon and am confident that the new business area will mature into an essential part of Kurtz Ersa in the future.”
We are looking forward to 2026
with confidence and are excited about
many joint projects around the globe.
Glück auf!
